The Susquehanna Center for the Creative Arts is hosting a juried show at 224 Locust Street, Columbia, PA. First Prize is $500. We are expecting an excellent show!

Springfield Art Museum - Deadline to Enter Veterans' Views is March 31

The Museum is currently seeking submissions for Veterans' Views, a juried exhibition highlighting photographs taken by members of our nation's armed services and relating to their military experience, scheduled for July - November 2017. This exhibit is organized in collaboration with Drury University and is FREE for veterans to enter. For full information on entry rules and how to submit photos, please visit our website.

 

The Missouri Watercolor Society's 2017 INTERNATIONAL Exhibition is bigger and better than ever.  ENTER NOW and avoid the rush!!  The 2016 INTERNATIONAL had over $10,000 in awards with 1st Place receiving $3000.  This year total awards will exceed $12,000 while the top award, one of the best in the country, will remain $3000.  The Prospectus is on the Missouri Watercolor Society's website   www.mowsart.com    

Call for entries:  The 2017 Baltimore Watercolor Society’s Mid-Atlantic Exhibition at the BlackRock Center for the Arts, Germantown, MD.  Open to all watermedia artists in the Mid-Atlantic states and DC.  Juror:Frank Eber,AWS,NWS,TWCS,WW.  Entry online or by CD.  First place $1200.  Deadline: April 3,2017.  For a prospectus and more information: www.BaltimoreWatercolorSociety.org

 

Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts’ Images 2017 Juried Gallery Exhibition in July in State College, PA.

 Work eligible for exhibition in the show includes drawings, paintings, mixed media, photography, hand-pulled prints, watercolors, fiber, paper, and digital art.  Images 2017is open to artists whose primary residence is in Pennsylvania. Digital images of original work produced within the last three years may be submitted. Both adults and enrolled students from ages 16 through 26 are encouraged to apply to the exhibition. 

 Artists will be eligible for at least $1,500 in prizes awarded by the juror.  There will be merit awards, a Best of Show, and awards for best pastel, best drawing, and best student submission.

 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia (RMNW) exhibition, in its 44th year, and being presented by Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) in Evergreen, Colorado. CAE is honored and excited to take responsibility for hosting this annual exhibition. RMNW attracts entrants and jurors from throughout the United States, and is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country.

CAE is pleased to announce that internationally acclaimed painter, author, and teacher, Stephen Quiller, will serve as the juror for the 44th annual Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition. Mr. Quiller is best known for his work in watermedia, and was awarded the Gold Medal of Honor at the 148th International American Watercolor Society Exhibition in New York City in 2014. His paintings have been on the covers and the subjects of articles of many leading artists magazines. He has authored two best-selling books, Color Choices and Painter’s Guide to Color, and his “Quiller Wheel” is used by artists worldwide.

MISSOURI WATERCOLOR SOCIETY CHINA TRIP

The itinerary and registration form is on the home Page of the MOWS website www.mowsart.com March 31st is the deadline for the $800 deposit and registration.  Please send it to China Travel Services Houston.  The balance of the $3595 fee is due April 15th.

Many individual female artists are inquiring about a possible roommate. That is very possible/likely.  If you email me ( DavenAAnderson@gmail.com) about your wish to join the group and would like a roommate I will get you in touch with each other.

 Airplane ticket info and a visa form will be sent by April 25th.  Your passport and visa application should be mailed to China Travel Services Houston by April 28th.  You may depart by air from other US International airports.  Also, ticket/seating upgrades are possible but at an added cost.

 Your passport and visa will be returned by May 15th along with clothing suggestions, weather info, travel tips and art supply suggestions.
